40 Days of Preparation for the Consecration of the Croatian People to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

40 Days of Preparation for the Consecration of the Croatian People to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Bishops of the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have determined that the Croatian people will consecrate themselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 27, 2025 – on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Let us prepare for this magnificent and salvific act over 40 days, commencing 18 May to 26 June 2025, by praying the Litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus each day (see below). Naturally, you may add any other prayers that will help with this devotion.

Following the example of the numerous biblical events associated with the number “40”, let us also make an effort to prepare our hearts through prayer, fasting and receiving the Sacraments of Confession and Eucharistic Communion, so that we can truly receive this saving Consecration. In that way, we will enter the Promised Land of God’s love, through the Heart of Jesus.

Let us persevere! Let us not be deceived by any temptations or wiles of the evil one if he tries to discourage us in any way.
We await the day of Consecration with faith, hope, love, prayer, and without fear because we know that the Glorious Triumph of the Two Hearts – Jesus and Mary – is surely coming!

May the Holy Spirit lead us in all this! Bog i Hrvati

God bless you and the work you do. Thanks be to God for people like you in this world. I have enjoyed this weekend.

Really enjoyed my first conference. The pace was outlined really well. The sessions were valuable and provided insight to areas that helped close out open end questions and have key take aways from the event.

Croatian Men’s EXODUS 90 – 20 Jan 2025 – 20 Apr 2025

Embarking on a 90-Day Spiritual Odyssey: Join Us for Exodus 90

In the words of Pope Benedict XVI, “The world offers you comfort, but you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness!”

As Croatian brothers in Christ, it’s time to break free from the chains of modern-day Pharaohs that entangle us—be it the endless scroll on social media, the numbing embrace of that extra drink, the pitfalls of sins of the eye, or the captivating world of Netflix, Stan, and YouTube. Our culture presents numerous obstacles to true unity with God, and Exodus 90 stands as a transformative journey towards liberation.

As we usher in a new year, many men often focus on resolutions pertaining to their physical well-being. However, it’s equally important, if not more so, to consider resolutions for our spiritual lives. Starting on the 20th of January, Exodus 90 offers a unique opportunity to make a commitment to progress in virtue and holiness, fostering a deeper connection with God as we navigate the challenges of the modern world.

What is Exodus 90?

Exodus 90 beckons you on a 90-day pilgrimage through the Book of Exodus, unravelling the parallels between our lives and the ancient Israelites’ journey and guiding us toward freedom from our contemporary ‘modern Pharaohs.’ Rooted in the wisdom of the early Church’s desert fathers, this spiritual exercise revolves around three pillars: prayer, asceticism, and fraternity.

The Commitment:
With your fraternity, you will embark on a transformative commitment:

Daily Silent Prayer: Dedicate one Holy Hour to silent prayer, Scripture reading, and reflections using the Exodus app.
Fasting and Abstinence: Wednesdays and Fridays mark days of fasting and abstaining from meat.
Cold Showers: Challenge yourself with invigorating cold showers.
Media Detox: Bid farewell to TV, movies, and televised sports for 90 days.
Weekly Fraternity Meetings: Connect with your fraternity of men to share experiences, challenges, and victories.
Daily Accountability: Check in with your Anchor, a chosen brother, on a daily basis.
Overcoming Challenges:
Undoubtedly, this journey may seem challenging, but remember, the path to becoming a man who conquers difficulty lies in embracing challenges. The beauty of Exodus 90 lies in the fact that you won’t tread this path alone. Shoulder to shoulder with a band of brothers, you’ll navigate the challenges, encouraging and supporting each other along the way.

and start Your Journey:

We invite you to join us on this life-altering expedition, commencing on January 20, 2025. Your life may never be the same again, and the rewards will extend far beyond the 90-day mark. To gain insight into the transformative power of Exodus 90, please listen to some testimonials from brothers who completed the journey last year:

As you consider your New Year’s resolutions, ponder not only physical goals but also resolutions for the soul. Exodus 90 provides a structured framework to fortify your spiritual life, cultivating virtues and deepening your relationship with God and your Croatian brotherhood. Will you accept the call to greatness? Join us, and together, let’s forge a path to freedom so we can live our lives as authentically free men, in the way God created us.

The Crusade of the Sacred Heart Consecration -125th Anniversary

BOG I HRVATI UNITED IN THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS – JOIN THE RENEWAL OF THE CONSECRATION OF OUR FOREFATHERS!

Calling All Croatian Catholics Worldwide!

In 2025, we celebrate 125 years since the Consecration of 160,000 Croatian youth to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This extraordinary event held on 22 June 1900, united young men and women from Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina in a unique act of devotion that resonated across the Catholic Church.

This anniversary is more than a commemoration; it is an opportunity to revive and strengthen our devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is an invitation to all Croatian Catholic faithful to draw inspiration from our past, to profess our faith, and to honour the enduring love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

STARTING ON FRIDAY 4 OCTOBER 2024 – Commit to participate in the NINE MONTH DEVOTION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS, THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF FIRST FRIDAYS.

First Fridays – Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
This devotion comes to us from Jesus who in 1672 appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and revealed to her His Sacred Heart. Jesus especially asked that on the First Friday of each month, people go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, and that reparation be made for sins committed against His Sacred Heart and the Holy Eucharist.

Jesus gave us, through St. Margaret Mary, twelve promises for those who practice devotion to His Sacred Heart. Among these promises, Jesus made a specific promise related to the First Friday devotion:

“I promise you, in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the first Friday for nine consecutive months, the grace of final repentance; they shall not die under My displeasure nor without receiving the sacraments; My Heart shall be their assured refuge at the last hour.”
— Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

In order to receive these graces:

  • The nine first Fridays must be consecutive.
  • Confession
  • Attend Mass and receive Holy Communion
  • The nine First Fridays must be made in honour of and in
reparation to Our Lord’s Most Sacred Heart.

The Consecration – June 2025:

On the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June 2025, come together for the consecration, by celebrating Holy Mass, praying the Consecration and singing the hymn from 1900 “Do nebesa nek se ori”. This will be a powerful reaffirmation of our faith, just as our ancestors did.

Take Action Now:

  • Commit to participate in 9-month Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus: Starts on Friday 4 October 2024
  • Mark Your Calendar: Save the date for the consecration on Friday 27 June 2025. Note: Your priest may choose to have this held on Sunday 29 June 2025.
  • Spread the Word: Share this invitation with others.

Let us renew our devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
